Our Litigation/Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice provides representation in all manner of litigation in State and Federal courts, mediation, and arbitration proceedings. Admitted to practice in Maryland and California, the Clayton Law Firm has been engaged in matters in the Maryland Circuit and District courts, the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, the California Superior courts, California Court of Appeal, California Supreme Court, United States District Court for Maryland, United States District Court for the District of Columbia, United States District Court for California (Northern, Central and Southern Districts), and the United States 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.  In addition, we have been retained on a temporary basis to litigate individual cases in courts throughout the country, including the District of Columbia Superior Court (admitted pro hac vice), District of Columbia Court of Appeals (admitted pro hac vice), District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings (admitted pro hac vice), and the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Superior Court (admitted pro hac vice).   

Preparing for a deposition

Start-Up & New Business Services

We will assist you in the formation off your business. Whether a LLC (limited liability company), corporation, or another entity, we can prepare the agreements and other documents necessary for the start-up and operation of your business, including articles of formation, operating agreements, charters, and bylaws. We can also  locate a registered agent for your business and file registration documents on your behalf with State and local agencies.  Our services also include reviewing leases and insurance coverages, to determine if your business is covered against risks.
