Our Litigation/Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)practice includes our initiating and defending lawsuits on behalf of businesses and individuals in State and Federal courts.  Our lawyers have litigated cases in various courts around the country,  including the Maryland Circuit Court, Maryland Court of Special Appeals, United States District Court for Maryland, United States District Court for the District of Columbia, California Superior Court, California Court of Appeal, United States District Court for California (Northern, Central and Southern Districts), the United States Court of Appeals (9th Circuit), the Superior Courts of California, the California Court of Appeals, the District of Columbia Superior Court, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings, and the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Superior Court.  In addition to litigation, we serve as counsel in administrative hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.

Start-Up & New Business Services

We will assist you in the formation of your business; whether a limited liability company, corporation, partnership, or other entity.  This includes drafting operating agreements, corporate charters, and bylaws. We will file necessary registration forms with State and local agencies, and will locate a registered agent for your business.  The Clayton Law Firm will review and negotiate leases and will review your insurance coverages to see if your business is covered for anticipated and unanticipated risk.  We also prepare contracts, agreements, and other legal documents necessary for the start-up and initial operation of your business.
